For me, I’m more interested in the characters, storyline and general atmosphere of a game than actually beating it. Usually to gain the full experience of a game you need to beat it, so I do, but I can have just as much or more fun with no actual Thing To Beat, where you just derp around and experience it and have fun.
I’m trying to get through Mirror’s Edge right now, but my computer lags to the point where it’s almost unplayable

It seemed pretty straightforward to me when I played it on my XBOX 360 and while I never quite mastered the timing required to roll after you land from a high jump to avoid taking damage I managed to clear the entire game easily, and trust me I suck at FPP games on a pad.D’you think it’s possible that my comment might’ve been aimed more at the actual post and the asshole above you? The ones insinuating women just shouldn’t play games and that making any games that women could enjoy is a waste of time and money?
I found the controls irritating, but that’s more because it took about 1-3 seconds for them to respond to me (re: my computer just does not like that game). Like starting any new game the controls take a little getting used to but once you’ve been playing for a bit it becomes automatic.
No, I was more irritated by the comment in the post that says women are “retards who don’t buy videogames” and the general assholery.

The controls were not complicated, and they gave you a tutorial map to fuck around in until you were comfortable. It was one of the first 360 games I played, and even now, after selling my box, I still have the copy because it’s just that good.
I know right? I died like ten times trying to do the first wall jump because the Italian translation was poorly done but other than that I blazed through that game just fine.
And I’m not a “pro gamer”, fuck I’m not even a “gamer” - I’m as casual as it gets without playing things like Bejeweled.If a game is too hard for me I either try until I beat it or set it on easy/cheat if I’m not that invested into it.
I even played that damn thing on a keyboard and didn’t complain, I had a lot of fun with the game, even if I had to restart quite a few times due to deaths.

Oh come on, you know you really laugh at how much money they waste setting the world into chaos and then fixing it. YOU KNOW THAT’S THE REAL FUNNY THING. They waste as much money as any other metal band, but exaggerate 100000000x fold. I also find funny how Nathan sounds the way he sounds all the time and when he sings, not much of a difference, as if he’s always trying to keep it that way, that’s just me. But yeah, it is funny that they’re more metal than most metal bands.
