vindicarthehippogriff asked: "Ask Relena then. I could help you with that, but my magic output is low, so it would probably take a while to notice the change, even with sensitive weigher." Vindicar frowns. "And since you've found them in the Everfree, where magic potential is lower... Lack of Equestrian ambient magic could make those crystals grow at slower rate. But we really need a proof for that." Hippogriff nods again and turns towards the exit. "Good luck to you, my friend." he says as he leaves.
“Hmmm, I may ask her actually, just hope she won’t tell anyone. And wait…” He looks to the tiny horn on hippogriffs forehead “I never thought actually you can use magic with that horn… Good to know tho.” Pewny nods a few times “Yes, it is possible that in Everfree they could grow slowly, while in a place like Ponyville…” He shakes head and then, with a smile, says “Thank you V, I’ll need it.”
vindicarthehippogriff asked: "I... understand. I should talk to Mythic. He cares about Equestria, so if I draw him a picture of collateral damage these crystals can cause when weaponized..." Vindicar nods. "Yes, that sounds like a plan. Meanwhile could you try to determine if they really grow when absorbing magic?"
“Alright Vindicar, I will leave this to you then. As for that… I don’t know any Unicorns I can really trust here. So I’m afraid measuring that may be impossible for now. Sorry.” He sighs, he did not expect this project to bring that many problems.

"Damn... grind them to dust, spread, and you can effectively disable magic in the area pretty much forever." Vindicar frowns. "I think you should notify the Sisters instead. Nightmare... might try to weaponize it."
“Well, the crystals MAY have limits. I don’t think Relena is as powerful as Celestia so maybe, JUST maybe she would be able to magically destroy them.” He then sighs “To be honest I never planned to tell Nightmare about this. I thought about keeping it between me, you and Mythic. This” he points to his machine “was supposed to be just a peaceful mode of transportation, sturdy enough to whitstand physical attacks and unable to be hit by magic attacks. In case war between Nightmarer and sister breaks out. But now… I wouldn’t want to be called a traitor by Nightmare was I to tell the sisters about the crystals”

“Maybe… Just maybe, they DO output magic in a way…” He coughs “If they are alive they may use magic to GROW”
vindicarthehippogriff asked: "So those actively feed on magic and there was a whole bunch of them in that cave... was it a colony? Sweet Luna's stars, I hope those things aren't alive in some sense! Anyway, bringing one through Moon City Night Dome would be a bad idea. I'll tell Mythic about your findings, but he'll have to send someone or to go himself. Meanwhile..." hippogriff briefly hugs his pony friend. "Please, be careful."
“Well, yes there was a lot. And alive… I never thought about that, and now that you mention it I sure do hope they aren’t.” He then thinks a bit “Yes… moving them through the city’s Night Dome could probably make it collapse.” He is about to hug the hippogriff back when he suddenly realizes something “By Discord… They may actually be alive…”
