vindicarthehippogriff asked: There is a knock on Pewny's workshop door.
The hippogriff can hear the pony’s voice from inside “Coming!” and a few seconds later the door opens “Oh. Hey there Vindicar.”
Vindicar nods, standing up. “Okie. I’ll be back in about forty minutes or so.”
And indeed, in less then hour armored hippogriff lands heavily in front of Pewny’s workshop, panting heavily. “Damn, I need more practice of flyign in that thing.”
The armor seems to match the description, dark blued steel chainmail overlaid with series of blue metal plates, forming stripes on the sides, belly, and back. The chest area is covered by a simple cuirass, but there are some sort of wing covers on the sides that might require extra attention. The helmet is strapped to Vindicar’s side and not seen clearly from where pegasus is standing.
The heavy landing can be clearly heard inside the workshop, making the stallion walk out and look at the armor “My my, that’s quite the piece of work you have there, V”
“Yeah. Quite heavy piece of work. I haven’t become fully used to it.” Griffpony smirks sheepishly, his shoes clanking audibly. “So, what do you make of it?”
“Well” He moves his hoof over the chainmail parts between plates “Those parts seem like will be the easiest to clean” He goes over the wing covers “Those are more tightly packed, so it may need a more thorough use of the air pump.” He the goes over behind the griff, to the mail-only part covering his rump “Hmmmm” He pats it lightly “Yeah, that’s something between the wings and first part, it shouldn’t be problematic. I think that what I thought up should work then.”
vindicarthehippogriff asked: There is a knock on Pewny's workshop door.
The hippogriff can hear the pony’s voice from inside “Coming!” and a few seconds later the door opens “Oh. Hey there Vindicar.”
“Makes sence for me. I do think it can handle soap, though. Should we try it out?”
“Sure, I have an air pump so we can do just that.”
Vindicar nods, standing up. “Okie. I’ll be back in about forty minutes or so.”

“It’s made from blue steel, with some additional protective layer on the surface. Plates are mostly go on sides, belly and back, chest and rump being free. It can handle being submerged in salt water, though I’d be careful when applying abrasive materials. Plus, I only need help washing out the dirt and sweat from between the rings.” Vindicar sighs. “If I chose plated armor, like Starbuck’s, I wouldn’t be able to fly in it at all. So we have what we have.”
He listens to him talk about the armor “Hmmm… you know, if the rings are not packed extremely tight, I think that shaking it, dipping the whole thing in water, shaking it off again and then using some high pressure air pump would be enough.” He nods “The first would get most loose dirt out, water with soap, or just water if soap can’t be used on it, would take care of sweat and some dirt, second shaking should remove more of the now soaked dirt. And at the end the pump, if you were to move it’s hose around the armor, over all rings and such, it would get rid of the rest and additionally dry it off. All in all I don’t think it would take more than a few minutes to do.”

“Well, as I said, I’ve received my suit of armor earlier. But unlike Starbuck’s plated armor, it’s a plated chainmail. Which meens it’s hell of a job to clean it after a day. So I wanted to ask you to try and invent something that would make the job easier. I need quite a lot of time to keep training, so it would be really helpful.”
“Plated chainmail? By Luna, that is quite a lot of things to clean there. How thickly plated is it? And from what metal exactly was it made? Like, can it handle water and such.”

“Aww, thank you, Pewny. Your trust means a lot for me.” Birdpony reaches out with his own wing, patting pegasus’ shoulder. “I’ll try my best not to disappoint you, or any of my friends.”
“I’m sure you won’t Vin, it was simply an accident and we both know it.” He smiles then finally asks “So, what is it that you need from me?”

The hippogriff can hear the pony’s voice from inside “Coming!” and a few seconds later the door opens “Oh. Hey there Vindicar.”
“Well, I have been busy adapting to my role as a knight. Sadly, I kinda messed up earlier. There were no… irreversible consequences, but my reputation took a hit. Now it’s going to take a while to gloss over bad first impression.” Vindicar looks down, tapping his hind leg. “But on the bright side, my armor has been finished. Which is why I’m here.”
The pony nods, listening to his friend, then walks over to him and puts his wing over the hippogriff’s back “You managed to become a friend of a pony that freaks out whenever he sees a griffon. I’m fairly sure you won’t have much trouble with that first impression going bad.”

Griffpony chuckles and bows his head a bit, stepping inside and looking around, slightly fastcinated (as always) by the sight of curious contraptions and tools repairspony seems to be employing in his trade. “Before we get to business, how have you been? I haven’t dropped in since that Heart Warming party. I hope there wasn’t any trouble?”
Pewny leads him to a room with a table and a few chairs “I’ve been alright. The number of customers I have seems to not change much, so I have no trouble with finances for now. And nah, no trouble around here at all. But enough about me, how about you? How is it going for you?”

The repairpony smiles back at him “Goot to see you too V. And it doesn’t really matter if you are ‘just’ a customer or not, a friend is a friend” He goes back and nods for Vindicar to enter.

If ever there was one imagine to encapsulate the entirety of the Windows 8 shitshow, this is that image.
Windows 8 is being rejected at such a scale that one of Microsoft’s largest partners is being forced to advertise the “return” of an older OS.

Thank u calculator. Thank u for being a fucking useless cumstain of the blanket of life. A worthless piece of shit cretin that doesn’t even deserve my fucking hot steamy piss
You are in “SCI MATH” mode. This form of a fractal is usually more useful than full number + fractal. Change the mode to something for normal people first.
