Sorry for oftopic. I know that many of you are getting mad when I post stuff not related to my oc :T
Anyway I pretend to be funny.
So, a friend wanted to get me into LoL
So I downloaded and tried, and I must say… The available F2P characters SUCK!
Seriously, only 10 characters are available each week, and from those available now, there isn’t a single one that would fit my play style. Trying to play with any of them either ends with me dying all the time, or suck unimaginably.
Fuck this game.
Like any other game, you need to practice a bit. If you want, I can take you on a few shakedown runs.
There is just one thing, I played DOTA 2, a bit, true, and mostly with bots, but I was doing MUCH better than I’m doing in LoL. And yeah, I forgot to add, I was testing all those characters with BOTS, on Lowest difficulty.

At least with Dota 2 you get all the characters! I have a few free copies if you’re interested in one.
Nah, no need, I already have DOTA 2 and that’s how I know my fav playstyle (Tinker).

Been forever since I played LoL, and the only other point of the money(besides buying characters), is buying skins for the characters… I kind of feel like an idiot now for doing so when I played.
Don’t feel like an idiot. Look at TF2, so many people buying keys and hats, all of which is literally useless gameplay wise. Hell, last time they put that wedding ring on sale (normally 100$, it was for 50$) the game was literally SPAMMED with “X accepted Y’s Z”, mostly in trollish ways. THAT is an idiotic waste of money.

In a way - yes. You can collect some in-game currency to unlock a character permanently, but you can also buy it with real money. So from a certain point of view (“Buying a character you can play with, instead of choosing from a bunch that suck) it is P2W.
