He laughs a bit “As much as I love Nintendo, they kinda don’t exactly listen to fan input. Kinda.” He smiles “As some things in their newer games are definitely to please fans”
“Hehe, well, that’s too bad. Hey uhm… Speaking of secret areas… Are there Zelda characters in this game?“ she asks.
He chuckles “In the first DLC, which I own, they added Link as character. And even a motorbike based on the Master Sword”
My E3 bingo cards are complete! I took the Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo cards from Ready Up Live and modified them to my liking, then I made a template from them and made the Ubisoft, EA, and Bethesda ones from scratch, borrowing from the cards RUL made last year.
These are mostly for my own pleasure but I figured you guys might want to have a look.
Oh, and if you wanna know who the people in the free spaces are, I added captions to each picture with their names.

He looks over at the screen and nods “Yeah, it is. So this has 3 functions. One, it stops every other player, pretty much as if you hit them with any other item. Secondly, they slow down, and the higher place they are, the longer they do, for example, someone on last place will return to normal size and speed much faster than the guy in first place. Last effect - it destroys everyone’s pickups.”
“Ooh, nice.“ she smiles as she waits with using it for a bit. But eventually, she decides she’s behind far enough and can’t really wait any longer, so she fires the lightningbolt.
A sound of lightning is heard, with a bolt hitting Pewny’s kart. It is around half smaller in size, together with the driver, smokes while it drives and the music is distorted to sound somewhat whacky. His item is destroyed.
“Wow! You actually get smaller?“ Kate asks as she keeps driving, finally able to see Pewny’s kart in front of her as she starts catching up. “That’s pretty cool. Hey, are there any levels where there are places you can only get when you’re that small?“
He shakes his head “No that I know of. There is a few ramps and boosts on the stages that require you to have a mushroom, as boosting through off-road areas with it doesn’t slow you down. But nothing for being smaller”
“Huh… Too bad, that would have been cool.“ Kate replies as she suddenly drives past Pewny, taking first place “Some secret areas or shortcuts like that would have been really nice.“

“I did explain it, you just misunderstood~” He chuckles, it is partially true, but he shown drifting to her when jumping out of a ramp causing confusion
“Hehe. Yeah, I must have.“ she giggles as she gets another pickup “Aww… It’s just a banana.“
Pewny crosses the finish line and triggers the last lap, the music speeds up “Sometimes you get the best item, sometimes just a banana” He gets a pickup too, which turns out to be a red box with a yellow speaker.
“Hey, what does that thing you just picked up do?“ Kate asks as she looks at his screen, crossing the finish line a little while after him.
“This?” He looks at what he got and smiles “It’s the weapon that can destroy the blue shell~” He nods “It emits a sound wave when used that pushes everything around you aside, together with that shell.”
“Aww man… There’s a thing like that too?“ she replies as she keeps going, picking up another item. “Oh hey, is this the lightingbolt thing you mentioned?“
