"Yes, you could evade attacks midair if you kept just the right distance. But then it would be a matter of who gets tired first." Vindicar smiles and nods as he sees Pewny adjusting. "Good. I've only met one pegasus who could fly like that with ease, and he was even larger than me. And, I guess, alicorns can do it too. It's just the matter of size. For an average pegasus fast wing flapping seems to be preferrable..." hippogriff says as he heads north-northeast, towards the Whitetail Woods.
“Hmm, then I’m screwed, unless I manage to make them smash against a wall” He chuckles imagining that “Wow, a pegasus bigger than you? That’s quite something. And well, like I said, I am heavier than an average pegasi, I will have to test that then” With that said he turns and flies after you.
"Indeed. While griffons are on a par with pegasi in terms of overall speed, latter are much more maneuvrable. You can take off, land and change directions midair in moments notice." Hippogriff notices unsteady flight of his friend and adds. "Try to swing your wings slower, but harder. Don't worry, inertia of your body will keep you in air while your wings are rising."
“Hmm, I guess that is true” he nods “Pegasi can do that easily. So in other words, I could use my body to outmaneuver a grifon chasing me, huh?” He listens to what you said and, a bit uncertainly at first, slows down his flapping and moves more of the wing, his flight stabilising “Well, that is different. However, could a pegasus fly this way?”
Vindicar smiles and nods. "We will get faster there by air." he says as he takes off the ground. "By the way, here goes the first difference. You'll probably have to rely on full swings, not fast wing flapping as most pegasi do."
He just nods and tries to take off, surprisingly easily “I’m a rather heavy Pegasus, I got used to fly with bigger load than most do” He does however fly rather wonky, trying to flap those wings faster istead of full swings “But seems that I’m even heavier now…”
"Let me disagree. If you know what they are good at, you can try to choose course actions preventing them from using this advantage." Hippogriff replies, humming a bit as he tries to plan his actions. "How about a short trip to Whitetail Woods? It's not too far, and we won't scare anypony."
He doesn’t say anything, he didn’t think of it this way. After a while he nods “I… you are right, that could be something useful to know” He smiles as the hippogriff hums “Well, why not, we can go.”

*looks at his 3-button, standard mouse* Uuuuh…
"I guess you don't have much time OR desire to explore griffon psychology... so I'd suggest getting familiar with this body. Learn what it can and can't do, its strengths and weaknesses."
He laughs lightly “I don’t think learning ‘strenghts’ of a griffon body is a good thing. I already am afraid of them, no need to learn that they are better at something than I thought.”
"Good. I rarely encountered them myself, but as I heard from those who did... unless it's stated otherwise, anon magic barely lasts for more then a couple of days, with twenty four hours being most likely period." Vindicar sounds relieved as he says that and slightly pats Pewny's back with his wing. "Meanwhile, you could try and learn something. Or just have fun. Why let some greyfaces ruin your day, huh?"
“Hmmm” He seems to think for a bit “Twenty four hours you say? So till the end of the day then.” He nods a bit, smiling a bit more at the back-pat. “Learn something? Like what for example?” He asks, curious at what his hippogriff friend meant.
"Oh, those greyfaces..." Hippogriff faceclaws again. "But still, it could be worse. Did you hear for how long you're going to be like this?" Vindicar asks as he wraps his wing around ex-pony shoulders in sort of comforting hug.
“Maybe… And no, all it was, was ‘ka-griffon’… I think” He lightly jumps at the wing-hug, but nearly immediately calms down, smiling lightly finally.
"No, I'm sorry, buddy. Didn't mean to scare ya that much." Vindicar replies as he slowly lets go of Pewny's foreclaws. "Can you tell me what exactly is going on?"
“I-it’s fine. You couldn’t… know it’s me” He is visibly shaken, obviously NOT enjoying the situation. “As for that… I am not sure now. Anon magic I think.”
Bucking great. But atleast it seems that the stranger really is Pewny. Vindicar faceclaws and jumps in front of panicking griffon. The collision prety much punches the air out of his lungs and makes both of them raise on hind legs, but hippogriff manages to grab and hold his opponent's foreclaws. Vindicar coughs and says, "Calm down, boy, calm down! It's me!"
“UFF-” is all that is heard as air is ‘punched out’ out of him. He looks in the hippogriff’s eyes with visible fear in his, then FINALLY recognises him and starts to calm down. After some time he finally speaks “S-sorry… Vindicar…”
