WIP
Eon nods, using his magic to lower the device to the floor and hit the on switch, simple starting procedures is all he is checking for right now. After a moment of humming, the lights flick on and it beeps, "Well, seems good as new already, you are a fast working Pewny."
He watches the devices start up sequence, trying to remember it just in case. He smiles lightly “You compliment me too much sir, it’s my job, that’s all” He nods, obviously happy he could help.
He shifts a bit so he can stand steady while Pewny works, the weight not seeming to bother him much.
He quickly gets two more tools, pliers with cutters and a screwdriver. He quicly cuts off the worn wires, in their place putting brand new ones. He checks how the cable from power supply broke, and ensuring this won’t happen again screws it up in place. The procedure takes him a few minutes. “Well. I don’t see anything else wrong here, so let’s check if it works now”
He smiles a bit more, "Really? You are a resourceful and prepared pony then," Eon nods a bit, smiling.
The stallion simply points to a saddlebag laying by the bed “I just like to always have some tools with me” His left wing reaches into the saddlebag and picks up a bundle of wires and soldering iron.
Eon glances over, "Mixture of Power Supply not getting power where its needed and a couple of worn out wires," he nods a bit.
The stallion quickly smiles “Ah, that sounds good, I even should be able to fix it immediately” He looks around for a way of opening the probe and upon finding it, immediately looks inside “Hmm. This and this wire need to be changed…” He looks near power supply “This one broke off and then branches out into several…” He nods “I have everything needed to fix it right here”
The Elder stallion continued to smile, "Exactly," He moved over to Pewnys good side, using his magic to open up the bag around the probe and hold it on his back still, so Pewny could look into it without having to move to much.
The stallion shifts his whole body towards Eon and the probe and looks it over “Well, that sure is a fine piece of tech. What seems to be the problem with it? Not working at all, not giving any results, something else?”
Eon takes a step back and smiles, "That's right, I figured even if you can't work on it in your state, you could at least give it a look over to determine what you needed," he nods.
He grins lightly “My left wing and hoof are fully working, maybe I can fix it” He chuckles lightly “But true, checking out if I will need anything first is a good idea"
He walks over closer, a large pack on his back, seeming not to bother him to much, "Its always good to see a pony stick to there guns even if others would rather them not," he nods, its the reason he respects his son, even if he doesn't agree with his choices.
He shifts in his bed slightly “If I broke under my parent’s pressure…” He quickly shakes his head “But luckily I didn’t” He looks to the big pack on his back “Sir, am I right to assume that this on your back is the probe?”
