“Well, it was gonna be a 2 player thing, where you can either work together with someone to escape or try to escape without the other. Though you wouldn’t actually be able to interact with the other until the end, since the other player was supposed to be on the other side of the island… Well, it’s in a sort of crescent shape, so you’d be able to see eachother at the start.“

“Oooooh, so multiplayer was intended as a core gameplay element, I can understand now why it was prioritized. So what exactly was the problem? Unity isn’t really set for making this thing easy?”

“Well, the system we used for making the 2D guis, which need to be seperate for each player, doesn’t really work that well with the system we were using for the networking.“

“So it was a matter of conflicting systems huh, well I can see what were the cause of the proble- shit!” He moves in the game and falls from the mushroom into the water

When he falls into the water, the game just resets “So we did do that. And yeah, that’s pretty much it. We didn’t find out until we were putting both systems together.“
