Me: Hey mom! Come look at this.
Mom: Oh, she's PRETTY! Did you draw her?
Me: Yeah.
Mom: Oh my gosh, she's beauuuutiful!
Me: I wanted to get your opinion on this picture.
Mom: I like it! She's really cute! Are those her- Oh, she has big boobs. Oh those are huge!
Me: Do you think she makes me a sexist who objectifies women?
Mom: Whaaat? Who said that?
Me: Anonymous says that my artwork is oversexualized and objectifies women with like, unrealistic body shapes.
Mom: Cause she has big boobs?
Me: That and cause she has a tiny waist and giant hips and stuff.
Mom: Well she's a DRAWING! What is she gonna fall down because her boobs are too heavy? It sounds like people are making a big fuss over something that doesn't even exist.
Me: But the fact that I choose to draw big boobs and narrow waists and big hips, does that make me a womanizer?
Mom: No! You're an artist. Artists can draw whatever they want, and if they like it, and if the person who commissioned it likes it, then who cares what people think? Drawing big boobs on girls doesn't make you a womanizer, being a womanizer makes you a womanizer.
