The trio emerges in a rather sizable cave. In the back they can hear bubbling of water from a small natural hot-spring. But the ceiling of the cave is what’s noticable the most. It’s literally FILLED with huge groupings off those red crystals, some of them up to five times larger than the biggest ones that Vindicar saw in Pewny’s workshop. They lightly shine, giving enough light to see around.
“Well, here we are gentlemen.”
Wow… This is beautiful… You said something about these crystals disabling or stealing magic?
“Yes. Actually, I think they are feeding on it… So I would be careful. I feel cold, but it may be just water…” Hippogriff whistles quietly as he looks around. “There is at least a ton of these crystals here… enough to disable all magic in Canterlot. Good think the cave is so far away. And since Moon City is now taking water from here…” Vindicar frowns. “Let me check something.” He walks towards the wall where one of the crystals is sitting, raises on his hind legs and touches it.
“Must be the water” Due to the hot spring the cave is rather warm. He then looks as the hippogriff touches a crystal. It’s surface doesn’t have any abnormal temperature, being the same as rocks and the air. His magic is not being sucked off either.
