For me, I’m more interested in the characters, storyline and general atmosphere of a game than actually beating it. Usually to gain the full experience of a game you need to beat it, so I do, but I can have just as much or more fun with no actual Thing To Beat, where you just derp around and experience it and have fun.
I’m trying to get through Mirror’s Edge right now, but my computer lags to the point where it’s almost unplayable plus getting chased and shot at in first person sets off my anxiety so I can only play in very short bursts
Relax buster, I’m not here to do anti feminist propaganda, I just don’t understand what is so hard about Mirror’s Edge control scheme.
It seemed pretty straightforward to me when I played it on my XBOX 360 and while I never quite mastered the timing required to roll after you land from a high jump to avoid taking damage I managed to clear the entire game easily, and trust me I suck at FPP games on a pad.
D’you think it’s possible that my comment might’ve been aimed more at the actual post and the asshole above you? The ones insinuating women just shouldn’t play games and that making any games that women could enjoy is a waste of time and money?
I found the controls irritating, but that’s more because it took about 1-3 seconds for them to respond to me (re: my computer just does not like that game). Like starting any new game the controls take a little getting used to but once you’ve been playing for a bit it becomes automatic.
No, I was more irritated by the comment in the post that says women are “retards who don’t buy videogames” and the general assholery.

Stop bashing the game then? Like, the game needs a more powerful PC than yours, so maybe upgrade your computer, THEN try to play it.
