There was something way too uncanny about when I started New leaf.

As per my usual shenanigans, I started playing late at night because I’m always up late, and started the game the same way I do most games these days, using Nightmare (or Nitmur in this case, because Nightmare was too long) as my in-game avatar. I ran around for a bit and messed around, but because it was late, most characters were asleep and the shops were closed. None-the-less, my position as mayor had been secured.

I awoke the next morning and played a little before work, to find out yesterday was the Summer Solstice. Which is cool and all, but there was something weird about it.

Later that day, I realized that I, being Nightmare, just so happened to usurp rule from the actually intended mayor, the night before the Summer Solstice began… Very much like how Nightmare in the show usurped Celestia just before the rising of the sun during the Summer Sun Celebration.

I swear I didn’t plan this, and I’m slightly freaked out by this way-too-large of a co-incidence.
