The hippogriff can hear the pony’s voice from inside “Coming!” and a few seconds later the door opens “Oh. Hey there Vindicar.”
Vindicar shakes the chainmail slightly, ensuring all of it’s surface has been dried. “Now, looks pretty good from there! What do you think?”
Pewny looks at the armor, squinting his eyes a bit “Hmmm… Seems alright here. I’d say that this method worked quite well.”
"Neat! But yeah, I might need something to hang it at… something sturdy enough. Can you throw something like that together? Also, I think I could just wait a minute until water flows out of the chainmail before drying it out. Shaking it out is way too loud."
“Yeah, I could put together something for it. Just tell me how heavy it is exactly. As for that, the shaking before and after soaking is to get rid of as much dirt as possible before blowing through it with air… But I guess that this could be skipped in the end.”
