As Vindicar listens to pegasus, he decides to drop the griffon topic. "Arbor has some great concoctions to keep one's coat healthy. You can always tell you're looking for it. I barely use them, though. It's a bit too expensive for a creature of my size." Hippogriff chuckles a bit.
(Not big surprise)
“Hmmm. That doesn’t sound like a bad idea. My coat does actually need something like that now.”
"Don't feel sorry, buddy. You couldn't know. It's just the atmosphere of competitiveness and bragging which reminds me of my life in Griffon Kingdom." Vindicar smirks a bit. "And I'd prefer not to spoil the surprise... though may be you have met Epsilon already."
He shivers lightly “Ugh… Griffon Kingdom… Not a place I’d want to be in again. Any moment a griffon would say something toward me I would probably scream…” He shakes his head hard after saying it “And oh? Well, can’t say I know anyone going by this name. Maybe I will visit the shop then. Tho I have no need for any potions, hmmm” he seems kinda lost in thoughts.
"A gym? Certainly not my favorite place in Ponyville... it wakes up too many memories." hippogriff sighs a bit. "But thank you for the tip anyway. And speaking of places, you may be interested in visiting Arbor's potion shop. There is a very interesting pony working there."
“Oh. I’m sorry, I didn’t know” He saddens slightly “Well, I will just say, many pegasi use their wings for weight lifting, using feathers to grip the thing so it won’t slide off. Others tend to do push-ups. With their wings.” He smiles a small bit “And hm? Potions are not really my thing, but what do you mean by ‘interesting pony’?”
"It was different. Brushing your wing agains a saddlebag is enough to open it, but to make your flying feathers behave like talons..." hippogriff accentuates his words with a gesture, clenching and unclenching his fist a couple of times, "That's not something I see often."
“I… I guess that’s true.” He seems to think for a moment “Aha! I think I may have a better example. You should some time look inside a gym in Ponyville. You would be surprised what some pegasi can do with their wings.”
"Oh, silly me!" Vindicar demonstratively slaps his forehead. "I've totally forgot about that." Hippogriff laughs a bit, and adds in softer tone. "But you really surprised me with the way you were using your wings. I didn't even know it's possible..."
“Happens to all of us” He laughs together with V. “Huh? You really never saw a pegasus use their wings that way? In Ponyville itself you could see a lot of pegasi opening saddlebags using wings. I just can… use them with some more dexterity” He nods, with a slight blush.
Hippogriff nods. "Yeah, you'd probably have more work to do under Nightmare's wing. By the way, thank you for repairing that probe. You did a great job!" He smiles and titls his head a bit. "If you decide to move, feel free to ask me for help. I visit Ponyville every now and then."
“Well, Mythic DID give me a job and I did accept it. I just wish to, at least for now, stay here, in Ponyville. Then… we will see.” He returns the smile. Seems he is getting accustomed to the hippogriff as he is no longer highly nervous around him. “And thank you, I will remember if I decide to do so”
"Oh." VIndicar looks down for a moment. "I just wanted to ask... are you planning to move to the Moon City, or would you prefer to stay in Ponyville?"
“To be honest? Right now I probably would like to stay in Ponyville. I already asked Mythic and he said that there is a safe passage through Everfree to reach Moon City, plus, I do have my workshop in Ponyville” He falls silent for a few seconds “Even though I nearly get no customers…”
Hippogriff lands (almost) gracefully in a couple of meters from startled pegasus. "Sorry, didn't mean to scare ya. Are you alright?"
The pegasus, with a small groan, stands up and dusts himself off with help of a wing “Y-yeah. I’m fine. I’m just not used to poni-” He stops for a split second “to anyone flying up to me like that.”
"Hey, Pewny!" Vindicar calls as he hovers above the repairpony.
“Huh?” He looks around, then up and upon noticing Vindicar trips and falls on his rump, with a slight gasp “O-oh. Hello there, Vindicar”
