I was going for her trying to be annoyed and failing, but got a “Don’t you wish this was you” smirk instead.
I really liked Rarity’s “camping” dress in Sleepless in Ponyville, and decided to do a quick human version. I ended up having to do a lot more research than I expected!
Her dress and shoes are very 40’s, possibly a tennis dress. I’d guess the sunglasses and headscarf-combo is a pretty direct reference to Audrey Hepburn. (The Marilyns are there for body ref! My headcanon Rarity is curvy.)
I know most of you don’t care for my humanizations, but whatever. I had fun making this. Maybe I’ll even finish it later.

It’s large scale so I’d like to do another photoset with close ups just so I can show more detail on Nightmare moon’s plugsuit thing.. just because this is fun to work on and I think’ll she’ll look better close up
I just wanted to doodle some Cadance dresses…I love how fussy and over-the-top Deceptive Cadance’s dress was compared to Rarity’s first design and the final version. Chrys, honey, you need to learn yourself some subtlety.
