Oh wow, tumblr actually adds something useful
Oi, tumblr, fix the fucking keyboard shortcuts. I can’t remove a like from a post anymore without clicking it with a mouse :/
i’ve watched our corner of tumblr grow up over the last 18 months and it’s been interesting
we went from: “OH WOW EVERYONE LOVES ME THIS PLACE IS GREAT”
to: “SHIT PEOPLE ARE GETTING MAD NOW I FEEL BAD”
and ended up with: “psh fuck it you’re all idiots anyway”
Tumblr has made me desperate, I don’t like this.
Screen shotting a reply would be a last resort for me. Those aren’t always easy to read and disconnect the reply from the context. If you’ve forgotten what you replied to originally, something I know I’ve done because sometimes I just space, it can be a pain.
It also makes any kind of multiple person discussion more difficult if you wanted to do that because other people can’t just click a link to get to the post.
So I did what I needed to do. I shouldn’t have had to, but Tumblr seems to want to sacrifice functionality for flashier, useless notifications.

the fix I reblogged yesterday is now broken because tumblr decided that was too easy for us!
i think it’s important to recall that the replies to replies was a missing e function and tumblr does not make its updates with missing e in mind
a missing e patch will probably soon happen that re-enables the feature, and people should definitely stop whining about what they will not give a shit about in a week or two
No no. What people are REALLY whining about is that you can’t copy-paste the text even as it’s not selectable (even CTRL+A fails)
I wish Tumblr had a “I feel your pain” button
